Sound Square (2-10)

Musical Performance for children ages 2-10 and adults |

Theater o.N. |

How can music be made visible? This was the question for the composers and musicians Florian Bergmann and Benedikt Bindewald and the actress Minouche Petrusch – and they created a sound square out of 3 × 3 tones. Within this square one can play and make music, sing and dance. By tracing the tones in the square’s fields, choreographies arise from the music-making bodies in the space, sensuous and comical, following strict rules and finding constant surprises. Sometimes the three players have to contort themselves like acrobats to reach their tones. Sometimes three is one too many. And the folk music canon, »Heut kommt der Hans zu mir« becomes a dizzying waltz in which, by the end, nobody knows anymore who really belongs to whom.
