Our performance venue at Kollwitzstrasse

The o.N. playhouse at Kollwitzstrasse offers seating for 30-45 spectators, depending on the stage et design and use of space. The playing area on the mezzanine level in a Berlin-style room is 4.8 m wide x 7.9m deep x 3.3m high; there are audience risers, which are also used as a stage area in some productions. There is also a café in the cellar, a small workshop, a dressing room and a communal office space. Storage space is rented externally. Due to the stairways, the theater is unfortunately not barrier-free. The space creates intimacy and a closeness to the audience, which is especially well-suited to very young audiences.

Theater o.N.‘s upcoming move in 2026

At the start of 2026, Theater o.N. will leave the Kollwitz neighborhood that has been its home for 45 years. A former chapel at Fröbelstrasse 17 in Berlin-Pankow will be renovated for us into a play venue by the real esate LLC, Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH (BIM). The chapel belongs to the historically listed complex of the former "Municipal Hospital and Infirmary" on the site of the current district office of Pankow. The building was erected between 1886 and 1889 and served as a mortuary. The ensemble looks forward to the challege of reinterpreting this historically significant site in a positive and future-oriented way, as a children’s theater. We are glad to be able to make theater in a disability-accessible building starting in 2026.
