Performance with shadows and dance
A light. A shadow. The sun, no, a star, no … a man and a balloon. Another shadow which moves, dances and makes balloons fly. Suddenly, a huge shadow moves. Storm clouds? No! Hand, head, foot – a person, a shadow person who dances and is curious about everything and everyone.
"My ... phhh" was created in 2014 as part of the year-long nursery project "Große Sprünge" (Big Leaps) in a participatory process with nursery children from Berlin-Hellersdorf, performer and theatre educator Kathleen Rappolt, and dancer and choreographer Aloisio Avaz.
In the restaging, performers Michaela Millar and Kathleen Rappolt dance and play. They find each other through shadows, paper and balloons, and at the end invite the children to play with them on stage.
