Out of a desire to recognize and interact with non-human beings, Jared Gradinger and Angela Schubot forged a deep relationship with nature and its immanent intelligence. In co-production with HAU Berlin, a three-part cycle of work emerged – »The Nature of Us«. For FRATZ 2019, Gradinger & Schubot adapt their duet »YEW: outside«, set in the public botanical park in Berlin’s district of Pankow, as a variation offering very young children intensive encounters with a plant nature.
The work of performance duo Gradinger & Schubot revolves around unconditional co-existence and dissolution of the self/body, characterized by an extreme physical language of movement and an artistic handwriting.
