A Party for the 13th Fairy

A multi-sensory ensemble piece |

For seeing, blind and visually impaired audiences aged 6 and up |

With integrated audio description and tactile guidance before the performance |*

The great day has come! After centuries of preparation, the five hosts invite their guests to a party.

Welcome to everybody!

As for the five hosts, they have never been invited to a party. But they have studied hard and learned many clever things. At their party, things won’t take a bad turn, as they did in the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. Even if there are not enough golden plates for everyone, nobody will be left out of the party because of that. They want all their guests to have a place at the table and feel welcome and comfortable.

Based on the fairy tale « Sleeping Beauty », the Theater o.N. ensemble has explored the role of the 13th fairy as a radical figure: She, the uninvited, encourages us to rethink and reflect on delimitation and exclusion in a playful way. The result is a multi-sensory piece that, with a great deal of humor and seriousness, explores great emotions such as joy and togetherness, but also disappointment, shame, anger and the fear of not belonging.

*The guided tour starts half an hour before the performance begins.
